BIOGRAPHY
With their debut album, Life Of The Party, Sydney pop punk outfit Heroes For Hire are set to make the jump from the highways of Australia to stereos worldwide. No strangers to hard work, the band have been juggling their love for playing live with their studio commitments, following the path laid by great Australian rock’n’roll acts like The Living End and Grinspoon.
All this van time has resulted in the assured and confident Life Of The Party, a record any passing fan of Blink 182, Fall Out Boy and All Time Low will be instantly enamoured of. First single “Bright Lights In Paradise” snagged the attention of Triple J Unearthed, who awarded the band the only Australian spot on the Sydney leg of this year’s mammoth Soundwave Festival alongside Paramore, Faith No More, AFI and Jimmy Eat World. Constructing their own website to release the “Bright Lights In Paradise” video, the overwhelming response crashed the boys server under the weight of activity. With this growing buzz, Life Of The Party debuted on the AIR charts at #4, whilst reaching a peak position of #3 in the third week of May.
Since the album's release, Heroes For Hire have embarked on a national tour with Detroit pop-punk outfit Fireworks, landed a slot on Sydney's prestigious Come Together Festival alongside Gyroscope, The Butterfly Effect, Frenzal Rhomb and Strung Out, and will be hitting the road this August with House VS Hurricane and September with The Wonder Years (USA).
