For Hand Of Mercy, it's been somewhat of a long road to success - at least by the standards of today’s online hype-driven music industry. Starting out in 2007, the band has taken the long road to success – touring relentlessly, releasing their own records and perfecting their art.  But even for a band that has seen a long road to success, the past twelve months have surpassed even the most optimistic expectations for Sydney metal-core heavyweights Hand Of Mercy.

This year has included supporting some of the world's biggest names in metal-core and alternative music nationally, including Parkway Drive, Dream On Dreamer and Like Moths To Flames.

The catalyst for this explosively productive shift was the release of their second full-length record entitled Last Lights, released through UNFD.“Recording Last Lights was the greatest thing Hand of Mercy have done to date,” notes guitarist Adam McLean, and with the completion of this record the band was prepared to do everything to have their music heard by as many people as possible.

Released to extremely positive acclaim (debuting at #44 on the ARIA charts), Last Lights has been the perfect soundtrack to a grueling touring schedule, cementing the band alongside their peers, in the pages of Australian heavy music history.

With the release of the music video “Absence Makes the Heart Go Wander”, Hand Of Mercy have laid their cards on the table highlighting what the new album is all about.

The band will finish up 2012 with a run of dates across the country, which are sure to be some of the most intense of the band’s career. Be sure to mark these dates down to avoid disappointment.
