Take Action! Tour w/ All Time Low, Set Your Goals & Stealing O'Neal 2009
Destroy All Lines present
Founded in 1999 by Hopeless Records and Sub City Non-Profit, the Take Action! Tour has been making its way around the US and Canada on an annual basis, with previous participants including acts as diverse as Jimmy Eat World, Paramore, Every Time I Die and Avenged Sevenfold.
2009 marks the first time the tour has ventured to Australia, with Hopeless Records’ own All Time Low and San Franciscan pop-punk/hardcore enthusiasts Set Your Goals leading the charge, while Melbourne quintet Stealing O’Neal will also be jumping on board as the national support.
Having blown away Australian crowds as part of the 2008 Soundwave Festival, All Time Low followed up with a mammoth year, including their debut full-length So Wrong, It’s Right eclipsing the 160,000 sales mark, numerous sold-out headlining shows and most recently being named the Alternative Press’ “band of the year”.
Riding high on the 2008 re-release of Mutiny, Set Your Goals have toured the globe with everyone from New Found Glory to A Day To Remember. With their fresh take on melodic hardcore already cementing the band a solid fan base down under – courtesy of a spot on the 2008 Boys Of Summer Tour – their return to Australia is a highly anticipated one! The Take Action! Tour supports and promotes the work of ReachOut.com, an Australian youth service dedicated to reducing youth suicide.
From each ticket sold, Take Action! will donate 10% (excluding GST) to ReachOut.com to help them continue to provide young people with an anonymous and free support website which provides info and advice on issues like depression, bullying, wellbeing and relationships. The tour will coincide with the Australian release of the Take Action Volume 8 2CD/DVD set, which will be in stores as of May, via Hopeless Records, Sub City Non-Profit and Shock, the compilation features tracks and videos by a host of International and Australian Artists, with a portion of proceeds also going to Reach Out.
