Stick To Your Guns Diamond Tour
with special guests SeeYouSpaceCowboy
Orange County hardcore legends Stick To Your Guns have announced they'll be bringing the 'Diamond' 10 year anniversary tour to Australia January 2024. Joining them is fellow Californian's and first time visitors, hardcore punk outfit SeeYouSpaceCowboy.
The 'Diamond' Australian tour will see both bands play nine highly anticipated shows across the country in a mixed range of main cities and regional markets to celebrate the record.
Holding Australia close to their hearts since the first visit in 2009, Stick To Your Guns have made a consistent effort to celebrate their releases with their dedicated fans down under. The band have toured 10 years of 'Diamond' through the UK, Europe and the United States and are ecstatic to add Australia to the list.
“Stick To Your Guns first came to Australia in 2009," tells vocalist Jesse Barnett. "It was hard for us to imagine being literally so far from home and to have people give a shit about our band the way that they did. That experience was an extremely meaningful moment to me. A few years later we recorded Diamond and toured Australia again.
"Since then, every time we’ve been back people have continuously let us know what that album means to them. We are beyond excited to get back and play these songs in this context with so many old friends. I’m sure it will be meaningful for me.”
Formed in 2003, Stick To Your Guns have built a diehard following over the course of seven full-length albums including 2012’s 'Diamond', which debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart. Along the way, the band has had a relentless touring schedule playing memorable sold out gigs in six continents and over 40 countries. After 20 years, Stick To Your Guns continue to be one of the most established, hard working and well respected bands in modern hardcore.
Stick To Your Guns have shared their Australian stages with some of metal's finest acts, including Knocked Loose, Being As An Ocean, Terror, Chelsea Grin, The Amity Affliction and more. This time the band welcome SeeYouSpaceCowboy to the tour, marking it their very first visit to boot.
SeeYouSpaceCowboy released their devastatingly heavy album, 'The Romance Of Affliction', in November of 2021. The second full-length by the San Diego five-piece is a brutal musical and emotional assault on the senses. It’s the sound of total collapse, of darkness closing in, of trying to escape – through drugs, through death, through whatever means necessary – from the horrors of existence.
Produced by Knocked Loose guitarist Isaac Hale, 'The Romance Of Affliction' stands as the quintessential SeeYouSpaceCowboy record. It’s violent and vicious, harrowing but oddly comforting, bleak yet beautiful. It’s a complex and compelling mix of genres that defies categorisation and which truly places the band in a world of their own. And – despite the sorrowful despair that flows through it from beginning to end – it’s also got that trademark sass that has defined the band from the start.
