POLARIS

Armed with a trademark melange of ferocity and melody, Sydney’s POLARIS are a fearless convergence point for all things blistering ingenuity, dexterity and connectivity.

With three studio albums in their wake, multiple ARIA Award nominations, millions of streams and a formidable global live reputation, POLARIS have dauntlessly faced and channelled life’s angst, frustrations and despair through their craft since forming in 2012, emerging time and time again with music that challenges, reflects and inspires alongside a blend of melodic metalcore, lush post rock, electronic flourishes, and beyond.

Most recently, POLARIS unleashed their third studio album, 2023’s Fatalism. An album centred around fear and its potent ability to divide and unite us, Fatalism organically builds on the bleak imagery and hard-hitting soundscapes permeating the band’s sophomore album, 2020’s The Death of Me, while also barreling into much darker and heavier tendencies. Upon release, Fatalism debuted at #1 on the ARIA Charts, secured triple j’s Feature Album upon release, won Best Independent Heavy Album at the 2024 AIR Awards, and garnered nominations for Best Hard Rock/Heavy Metal Album at the 2024 ARIA Music Awards, Australian Album of the Year at the 2023 J Awards, and also a nomination in 2023 for the Australian Music Prize.

Following the release of Fatalism, POLARIS embarked on their biggest headline tour to date, with their entirely sold out Fatalism Headline Australian Tour electrifying arena stages across the country, before storming over to the UK supporting While She Sleeps and Bury Tomorrow, and taking their headline Fatalism tour to North America to bring 2023 to a close.

In 2024, POLARIS kicked off a juggernaut year with a headline Europe and UK run, returning to home soil for a massive 22 date regional tour across Australia, and once again headlining across North America, including slots at US festivals Riot Fest and Louder Than Life Fest. POLARIS also ticked off a Europe and the UK arena run supporting Beartooth in 2024, rounding out the year supporting Bring Me The Horizon in Mexico City alongside Spiritbox, The Plot In You and thrown.

Renowned for their emphatic relatability and explosive arrangements, POLARIS established their place as a fixture in the Australian heavy landscape early on via their first two ARIA-nominated albums, 2020’s The Death Of Me and 2017’s The Mortal Coil, both of which debuted in the Australian Top 10. And alongside their latest bellicose masterpiece, Fatalism, a laundry list of accolades, sold-out headline tours of Australia and previous performances across the globe, 2025 will find the quartet ready to once again wield their visceral fare in a live setting, with POLARIS making their Knotfest Australia debut this February and March, followed by a whirlwind of international festival appearances, including performances at Download Festival in the UK, Jera On Air, Rock for People, Vainstream and Tuska Open Air Metal Festival.
