Free Throw’s last two visits to Australia, a support run with Hot Mulligan in 2024 and a co-headline tour with Microwave in 2025, sold out multiple dates and made a lot of new fans. Nashville’s FREE THROW return this January for their third trip down under, bringing sixth album Moments Before The Wind to seven cities. They’ll be joined by Oklahoma City’s BEN QUAD, who are making their first Australian appearance, and Brisbane’s SUNBLEACHED.

Moments Before The Wind is out now via Wax Bodega and follows 2023’s Lessons That We Swear To Keep. The album traces a period of upheaval for vocalist Cory Castro, marked by loss, renewal and reflection, and ends in the joy of his impending fatherhood. Musically it moves between Midwest emo, sweat-soaked punk and crashing alternative rock, with the vulnerable lyricism the band are known for.

Joining them is Oklahoma's Ben Quad for their highly anticipated Australian debut, plus Brisbane alt-rockers Sunbleached to round out a massive night of Midwest emo and sweat-soaked punk fervor.
