PUP are returning for the first time since 2022 in August and We are excited to announce the supports that will join them on the DO IT New Zealand and Australia Tour.
TEENAGE JOANS (AUSTRALIA ONLY)
Since bursting onto the national scene courtesy of their triple j Unearthed high win in 2020, Tahlia Borg (vocals/drums) and Cahli Blakers (vocals/guitar), have been on a tear, with their high-energy riffs and refreshingly honest and relatable lyrics finding fans across the globe.
Recent single ‘Sweet and Slow’ continues a hot-streak of releases including their breakthrough EP ‘Taste of Me’ and 2023’s acclaimed debut full-length ‘The Rot That Grows Inside My Chest’ ♥
Having shared stages with everyone from Foo Fighters to Sum 41 to Amy Shark, their infectious energy makes them a must-see live act.
MODEL HOME (AUCKLAND)
This Christchurch crew have been causing quite a buzz since dropping their debut full-length '...And Nobody Made A Sound' back in 2023.
ADULT FRIENDS (WELLINGTON)
This killer guitar-centric band are inspired by Failure, Sonic Youth, Wire and Swans. Their music seeks to find solace in the noise, blending the cacophony of post-hardcore with Gothic and melancholic tendencies.
Set to play crowd favourites from their catalogue of anthems including PUP (2014), The Dream Is Over (2016), Morbid Stuff (2019) and THE UNRAVELING OF PUPTHEBAND (2022), they’ll also be performing new gems from their new album Who Will Look After The Dogs.
Praised by Pitchfork for their “supremely hooky” sound, PUP’s energetic live shows continue to turn industry heads, with the Washington Post applauding their “raucous sets filled with singalong anthems”.
New Zealand fans will get the chance to see them at the Tuning Fork in Auckland and Wellington’s San Fran, before they headline Australian cities including Brisbane’s Princess Theatre, Sydney’s Metro Theatre, Melbourne’s Northcote Theatre, Hindley St Music Hall in Adelaide and Perth’s Magnet House.
Their pummelling and cathartic fifth LP Who Will Look After The Dogs is a culmination of the band’s past decade of constant touring and their palpable, livewire chemistry. Excavating life’s relationships and deep thoughts, the 12-track album sees frontman Stefan Babcock at his most reflective and vulnerable.
