Swedish metalcore phenomenon Thrown have announced their return to Australia for their biggest headline tour to date, bringing their explosive live show to seven cities this February. Following a completely sold-out Australian headline tour in 2025, thrown will once again take over venues across the country with special guests Boundaries, 156/Silence and Australia’s own Volatile Ways.

Since emerging from Stockholm, thrown have established themselves as one of the fastest-rising forces in modern heavy music. Extensive touring alongside Knocked Loose, Counterparts, Fit For A King, While She Sleeps, Wage War and many more has cemented their reputation as one of metalcore’s most explosive live bands, while more than one million monthly Spotify listeners and hundreds of millions of streams worldwide continue to fuel their meteoric rise.
The band recently unleashed “critic”, a ferocious new single out now via Arising Empire. Sharp-tongued, crushingly heavy and unapologetically confrontational, the track takes aim at self-appointed tastemakers, performative outrage and the endless cycle of online commentary. Fuelled by venomous vocals, bone-crushing grooves and explosive breakdowns, “critic” proves once again that thrown thrive where others merely make noise.
Joining thrown are Connecticut metalcore group Boundaries, arriving off the back of their punishing new album Yearning: the unbeautiful after. The 14-track release, recorded with producer Drew Fulk, captures Boundaries at their most deliberate and focused, with guest appearances from The Plot In You’s Landon Tewers and Make Them Suffer. Following their recent sold-out Australian run supporting The Plot In You, Boundaries are ready to leave it all on the stage once again.
Also making their Australian debut are Pittsburgh’s 156/Silence, bringing their intense, foreboding and haunting sound to Australian audiences for the first time. Their cinematic blend of brutality, melody and real and imagined terror will arrive ahead of the release of their sixth studio album, From A Distance, due out 4 September 2026 via Pure Noise Records.
Rounding out the bill are Newcastle’s Volatile Ways, whose hard mosh deathcore — made by hardcore kids — is delivered with unmatched energy and a playful live presence. Having shared stages with The Acacia Strain, Fit For An Autopsy, Bodysnatcher, Kublai Khan, thrown, Dying Wish and Speed, the multifaceted four-piece are more than ready to bring brutality to the forefront.
