Powerpop rock n roll band from Essex BAD NERVES and Los Angeles rock band DEAD POETS SOCIETY are set to tour Australia for the first time.
The bastard child of a Ramones/Strokes one night stand, BAD NERVES play ferociously fast distorted pop songs. Their self-made debut put them in the hearts and minds of the cream of the alternative crop; from UK tastemakers such as Dan P Carter to Alyx Holcombe, to rock legends such as Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong and Pearl Jam's Stone Gossard. Drawing comparisons to Supergrass, the Ramones and Jay Reatard, they proactively seek to make the type of in-your-face, opposite-of-sterile, rock music that the genre was built on. Their second album, Still Nervous, was released in May this year.
Los Angeles quartet Dead Poet Society were tipped by The New York Post's Page Six as a band to know released their second album FISSION. The American rock band formed while attending Berklee School of Music in Boston, Massachusetts in 2013. Starting as an indie group, self-producing and self-recording their songs, including two acclaimed EPs. In 2016 their music was discovered by the influential Mexican YouTube Channel Pepe Problemas. Their US break came in 2018, when Spotify editorial staff added the single “American Blood” to their playlists, after the band had built a strong organic following on social media and the streaming platforms before resulting in interest from several labels including Spinefarm, where they later signed and released their debut album -!- in 2021. The band has gone on to become headliners in their own right, selling out 1000 + venues and playing the main stages of the biggest festivals around the world and just completed an extensive North American tour supporting Chevelle and Asking Alexandria.
